Jackson (4-6) dropped to 0-3 lifetime against the Marlins after pitching five innings and giving up six runs on five hits with three walks. "Its the simple fact you know how many people are going to score when you walk them," Jackson said. "It might have been trying to have too much finesse with the pitches instead of just throwing them." The Marlins, who had not homered in the past three games, used two three-run shots by Wes Helms and Mike Jacobs to power the team to its first win in four games. "We finally got it going," said Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez. "We are capable of swinging the bats (and) putting some runs on the board."
