Detail.With regard to the bill proposing an adjustment of pending difficulties with the State of Texas, it is only necessary to say, that the whole subject is now before those most deeply interested, and who alone are to be the judges of their right to accept or reject the proposition of Congress. If the people of Texas shall prove to be incapable of ascertaining their interests and immunities as citizens of the republic, it will then be full time, but not until such is fairly proven, for their wise neighbors to assume their administration and direction.
