Nancy was not really prepared for what life was throwing her. She was a single woman who did not like to be tied down. She did not have a boyfriend, and she did not like pets.
When her sister became sick she was caught off guard. She did all that she could to take care of what ever her sister needed. She took her to her chemo treatments, drove her to doctors appointments.

Nancy even was changing her office space into a guest room. When her sister was in the hospital and her husband was staying with her her niece and nephew would stay over with her. She rented an Okotoks Local Storage unit and moved in the furniture from her office. She bought two twin beds and a night stand to put in between. She put in a little book case and bought a few things for them to read.

Her niece and nephew loved to stay there and even thought they worried about their mom a lot it helped that they were in a safe place. They especially loved when they would get for breakfast and Aunt Nancy would make them chocolate chip pancakes. Their favorite meal.

At the end of the year Nancy was so happy that her sister was in remission and was getting stronger by the day. Nancy decided that she liked having the kids sleep over and decided that she would leave the office room as their room. She sold the furniture that was left in the Okotoks Local Storage unit. The kids were so happy when they knew they could still come stay with their aunt.
