When people are looking to rent, one of the first things that we ask them is if they would like to rent a climate controlled space or a regular space. Here in Pickering we are happy to know that not all Pickering storage facilities have that option. In fact we feel that we have more of offer across the board than any other Pickering storage facility. That is a big thing to boast about.

Anyway, we like to know what the caller is storing so we can find out what type of storage space they will need. We do not want them to pay for a space that they do not need. Typically you will find that Climate controlled spaces are higher in cost than the standard spaces. That is the way it is because of the climate controlled space being temperature controlled. We try to keep the space at the same temperature as it would be in the house. If the customer does not feel comfortable storing in a space similar to as the conditions of their garage we recommend the climate controlled space.

When the customer calls in or comes down to the site, we give them both options to store. Since the price difference is not to far apart, most people want the climate controlled. Sometimes they want the climate controlled space even if they are not storing anything temperature sensitive. That is fine with us as long as they are happy with what they renting.
