Why One Might Choose to Attend a Self Storage Auction

There are several reasons why a person would be interested in a self storage auction. From personal experience to stories I hear from others, there is a variance of interest as to why one would do the diligent research on finding out where and when a self storage auction would be held so they could attend one of these events and be sure to profit from Saskatoon storage .

Unfortunately during these especially hard times, these unforeseen and unwanted events are occurring more often due to renters not being able to pay their monthly bills. Facilities lose out on their maximum earning potential when their spaces are being utilized by a customer who is in default on their monthly rental payments. Each month the unit is occupied without a payment the larger the loss for the company. The facility can not simply increase rates, otherwise they lose current and potential customers alike. The only way the company can recoup their losses is to hold a self storage auction for default renters in order to make up for some of the lost past due costs. As with everything, there are rules. A self storage auction is open to the public for anyone who wants to participate in the event and make a purchase. The only exception is, the person who the unit was originally rented by is not allowed to participate. Although it is a very sad case for the renter who probably has all of their worldly possessions in the unit, this event must be held or the company will eventually be forced to go out of business. Saskatoon storage is always a great place to find amazing deals on used furniture, used electronics, and the like.

As for the reasons why one would be interested and be an attendee at the event to make a purchase could be a number of various reasons. There are those that are looking for specific items that they are interested in such as items that are collectibles to them. Such collector items could range from antiques, coin collections, jewelry, artwork or cars just to name a few items. You may find others who are simply looking for furniture to furnish their home because they can not otherwise afford to purchase these pieces at the regular retail rates. It could be due to someone who is a bargain shopper, looking to save as much as they can in these hard times. However, you can not bid on a single piece that is in the unit. You must bid on the entire unit and you must take responsibility of all items in that unit once its purchased. The objective of the store is to sell it at a decent price to make up for some of the loss as well as being able to rent it out to another in need of space. The store will settle on bidding the entire unit at one time. It could be quite exciting for the prospective buyers. A rush if you will. A gamble on what you will find at the Saskatoon storage place.

Let me back up a minute. The store managers holding the event will not allow anyone into the unit to rummage through the boxes an stored items before they decide whether or not they want to bid. Typically the store employee will open a few boxes so that you can get a taste of what could be in it. But attendees must stand outside of the door and bid from there. For the buyer it will be like opening a bunch of gifts. Opening boxes that are now theirs and not knowing what it holds. Yes, there are others who are in the business of buying the contents of a space that is up for a self storage auction in order to turn it over and multiply their investment. It is especially more popular in the bigger cities where you can find huge flea markets. It is actually the perfect place to resell these items because you have a wide range of shoppers who are looking for something that could be as small and inexpensive as a keychain to the larger and higher ticket items such as a living room set.
