Sometimes living in a sorority can be a pain. There are too many girls, and not enough space. Overall however it was a great experience. Making life long friends and great connections all over the country. The only draw back that it had was that over the fall and summer breaks if you were going home you had to clean out your room. You were not allowed to leave everything in your room.

Kates family lived almost fourteen hours away so if she went home for the breaks she would rent a Scarborough Local Storage facilities unit that was close to the campus. She would pack a suitcase with her clothes and a few books. Everything else would be placed into storage. It was so convenient not to have to drag everything with her to her parents house, and then drag it all back. It was all safely waiting for her when she returned.

Kate also talked with some of her sisters who had a long way to travel about her Scarborough Local Storage idea. They thought that it was so convenient. They decided that if they all shared a unit that it would be cheaper than all of them renting separate units. It worked out so well that as more people found out about it the more people they had wanting to share the unit. It just got cheaper and cheaper for each person to rent during the break. They tried to talk the manager of the storage location into letting them pain their unit pink, but of course he refused. He did have a good laugh about it though.

After her mothers funeral Kim was left to clean out her mothers house. She had no brothers or sister and the only family that her mother had was one elderly aunt left. So it was left solely up to Kim. She gave herself time to grieve after the news of her mothers passing and with getting the funeral arrangements together she had saved going through her mothers things till later.

Now it was later and she was working room by room to get through all of her mothers belongings. All of her clothes she boxed up and would be taking down to a second hand shop in town. All of the pictures and some of the furniture Kim was going to keep. As well as a few of the nick knacks around the house. Everything else she was going to give away for sell. It took her a few days to go through everything, and it was at times very hard to see everything from her mom boxed away.

When the house was cleaned out Kim got a realtor and put the house on the market. She tried to find room in her own house for all the boxes and furniture that she was going to keep but was having trouble getting everything in her house. So she looked into a Scarborough Local Storage unit.

She was happy to find one that was close to her house and was reasonably priced. She was happy to have a great place to keep the memories of her mother.
