If you have things that you need to store that you want to remain dry and safe, there are places that specialize in storing those types of items.  These facilities often call there service climate controlled storage .  They offer an environment where the temperature is controlled to protect items against damage from extreme heat or cold.

I have a cousin who earns his living as a plumber.  Being a plumber requires him to use a lot of tools, depending on the situation.  In order to carry all of his tools with him to his service calls he drives a large van.  The van he drives has space for all of his pipe fitting and plumbing tools.  The only problem he has with his van is the fact that he has nowhere to park it at night.  He solved this problem by making use of a vehicle storage facility.

I love hats.  I have a lot of hats that I wear all the time.  Not at the same time, but I wear them one at a time very often.  These hats take up a lot of room in my trailer.  I need more indoor storage to hold all my hats.  I am afraid of outside storing because I do not wish for my hats to perish in the elements.  Some of my hats are to big for me to wear.  I hope to someday grow into the big hats.

When you are ready to move to your next home, you will want to pack your stuff first.  Packing your stuff should be done in a careful and organized fashion.  Breakable items should be wrapped in bubble wrap to insure that they do not break.  To determine if an item is breakable or not, throw the item at a brick wall.  If the item breaks when it makes contact with the wall, it was a breakable item.  You may need to repeat this test more than once depending on the accuracy of your aim.  Bubble wrap can be purchased at any store that sells moving supplies .

I love cats.  I collect stuffed cats.  I collect china cats.  I collect cats of every sort.  I live in a small home.  My small home does not have any storage space .  I have no where in my small home to store my cats.  So I rented a storage unit to store my cats.  I have shelves and shelves of cats on display in my rented space.

When potential rental unit clients ask me for a large unit, I usually tell them about the ten by twenty units.  A ten foot by twenty foot storage unit is the size of a one car garage.  These units offer two hundred square feet of storage space.  This is enough space to comfortable hold a two bedroom house or apartment with extra room for appliances like a refrigerator and washer and dryer set.

When moving out of a storage unit , it is a good idea to clean the unit.  Leaving trash or other discarded items in your unit is a good way to lose your cleaning deposit.  In some cases the facility may not realize that you have vacated the unit if you leave items in the unit.  In that case, they may expect you to continue paying rent until you have removed all of your belongings from the unit.

Additionally, you want to make sure that the moving company has the resources available to meet your needs.  These resources include the man power to move your belongings and the vehicles to carry your belongings.  If the company does not have the personnel or the vehicles necessary to move your items, they will not be able to complete your move.

There are a few things to remember when choosing a moving company to move your belongings.  The number one thing to keep in mind is that cheapest does not necessarily mean the best.  If you receive a bid that is far below the other bids you have received, there is usually a reason.  Perhaps the low ball bidder failed to account for the entire job, or they may be offering an inferior service.  If the low bidder is not bonded and insured, their service may not be worth as much as the higher bidders services.

If you are going to pay to store your personal or business items in a storage unit , you should be storing them in a safe and secure facility.  A safe and secure facility will have an access controlled gate, door alarms, twenty four hour video surveillance, security fencing, and good lighting.  A facility offering these security features may cost a little more than one that does not, but in the long run these features can save you both time and money.
