Saving Boxes

I have several family members and Christmas time can get expensive. So from year to year I try and save boxes and such so that I do not have to purchase so many items the next year to wrap presents with. This year however I have nothing saved. I do not know how that happened but I do not.

Storage Containers for Lots Of Toys

It is time for me to clean out my youngest toy chest so he can be ready for new presents on Christmas. This however is no small feat. He has accumulated a lot of toys and junk over the past year. I will need to purchase a few storage containers to contain the mess. I feel like I should have him go through all this stuff since I do not know what he wants to really keep or throw out.

Need Cheap Movers

I hope when I am ready to move I can find some cheap movers . I just really hate moving and the more I think about it the more I cringe. I can not stand moving that is why I do not do it very often. However the neighborhood I live in has become less than I desire so I am moving this year when my lease is up.

Extra Storage Containers

Just got done putting my sons basketball goal he had received as a gift for his birthday. That was a major aggravating experience. Not only did it come in a zillion pieces but had all kinds of little extra pieces. I need extra storage containers just to keep all the pieces in. I finally did manage to get it together though and now he is very happy.

Moving and Relocating

I wish I could move away to where the weather is warm all the time. Sometimes though that is not an option for some people. Moving away requires extreme planning and also alot of time and money. Not everyone can do that relocation is very detailed you have to make sure you have a job and a place to live on top of everything else.

Cheap Storage as a Priority

Well in taking as many calls as we do here it seems to be that the word of the day is cheap storage . I have people calling and that is pretty much the only factor they are basing their storage decisions on. With the economy today its no wonder and it does not seem to be changing anytime soon.

Untimely Moving

I have a friend that we actually were neighbors first and this was over ten years ago. So in the past three years we became neighbors again and sadly they moved last night. My daughter and her daughters are all friends as well. I figured we were neighbors for 6 years the first time and this time we were neighbors for almost three years. Crazy where life takes us but maybe someday we can be neighbors again.

Halloween Storage

So Halloween was this past saturday. I know we have a good stockpile of halloween costumes that we could possibly put in storage and possibly use next year. So many different costumes from two kids. Its crazy the things you can find at a storage auction. Once a person has defaulted on payment of their unit it gets set up for auction. I had heard about the auction from a friend but I wasnt able to attend. But apparently she received some pretty cool stuff for little money.

Car storage is a big thing right now. No one wants to leave their car outside in the snow at this time of the year. So there is a nice solution to that problem if you do not have your own garage you can rent one. That way you do not have to go through the hassel of knocking snow off your car all the time.

A Big Mess

The other day my sick son whom I had stayed home with because he was sick apparently decided, that he felt better once Mom fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to a very quiet house. I had only been asleep for like 30 minutes but he had done it. I walked up the stairs to find all my storage containers in the spare bedroom rummaged thru and there was stuff everywhere. I stood and watched him for a minute til he was not paying much attention and then yelled what do you think your doing. He jumped almost out of his skin and then started picking up his mess. Only because we had talked earlier about how he makes a mess whenever I have my back turned or fall asleep.

How many times have you searched your home for things that you have not used in a while? For me this happens all the time. I have an item or a piece of paper that I will need but have not used for a really long time and then it will dawn on me that I stuck it here or stuck it there. I am really thinking of getting a storage unit just to keep my belongings and important papers in order. It sure would help me be more organized.

When one has to prepare to move it can be a big physical and mental feat. Making the arrangements alone can be stressful. The better you plan the better your move will work out. Whenever you know of a move go ahead and start packing and planning if your going to need storage ahead of time so that when the big day gets there it wont be so rushed and everything can flow smoothly.

My Doggies Locked Up

I recently had a incident where my dog was put into quarantine for scratching a little boy that was hitting my son. Of course my dog was just doing what he was suppose to do which is protect his humans. However we had to take him to the animal control office, that way the charges would be cheaper, and he went willingly into the pen they had set up for him. Then I noticed that in addition to the latch on the door they also had locks on each pen. I guess just in case someone came to break him out then he would not be able to get out. Hope we can get him back soon.

Get A Website

Living in todays world most any business would benefit from having their own website. Its your own little advertising spot. Only the thing is if no one knows you have one then no one can go to the website. You have to advertise that like you would your storage . Put the web address on a billboard if thats the way you are advertising your storage. Although it should be as easy as typing in a name in a search engine sometimes thats not the way it happens, because you get everything related to one word.

What Size

I think I need to do some spring cleaning although spring has now passed me by. I have accumulated a lot of stuff over the last 3 years at my current residence. I would not even know what size storage unit I would even want if I were to stuff it all in a storage unit . I understand how all the sizes could be confusing to someone that has not taken on the task of cleaning it all out yet. I believe even I would be lost.

When taking calls for storage what can be the most valuable question is the, How did you hear about us? question. It tells the facility exactly where and how customers are finding them and makes them know how to get the most out of their marketing dollars. Self storage is usually something no one pays attention to until you need it and driving by the facility is a big way that people hear about the different facilities.
